You don’t even have to own a TV to realize the impact of the contest/reality series America’s Got Talent. Everyday folks who possess skills in performance, music, dance, and more get the chance to showcase their life’s work in front of a panel of celebrity judges in order to be accepted and continually move on to the next round. All the while, America watches and votes!
Aside from the national exposure, talented amateur performers and artists compete for the ultimate prize: $1,000,000 and the chance to headline their very own show on the Las Vegas Strip.
We’re always looking for ways to help elevate the careers of TuneCore Artists, and this may be one of our coolest yet: this month, TuneCore has partnered with America’s Got Talent to offer our artists the opportunity to submit a new or existing video (created within the past 2 years) to be considered as a contestant. The video can be a live performance, a professionally or DIY-produced music video, or even just a bedroom cover song.
Any TuneCore Artists selected could have their videos sent to the producers of America’s Got Talent – an opportunity usually only passed around among entertainment industry connections. The show’s producers are on the lookout for musical acts of all styles, genres and ages, so there’s really no limit on who can submit a video for consideration. If selected by the show’s producers, they will reach out directly to give artists an opportunity to bypass public open casting calls with a invite-only audition directly for the show’s executive producers. These will be taking place in the following cities:
LOS ANGELES – January 21
NASHVILLE – January 24
NEW YORK – January 26
ATLANTA – January 29
DALLAS – February 1
LOS ANGELES – February 24

Past America’s Got Talent finalists have gone on to sell over 2.2 million units in the U.S. (Jackie Evancho, Season 5) and even get signed by Sony Music, helping them debut on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart (Emily West, Season 9).
